ONE OF SALT SPRING'S OLDEST CLUBS

FORMED IN 1913 AND REMAINS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN SHOOTING, ARCHERY AND FISHING SPORTS.

Welcome to the CFSC and PAL information page. Here, you can explore courses and cost in order to become a certified, safe, firearms owner and shooter.  The Salt Spring Island Rod and Gun Club does not put the courses on ourselves, we merely provide the space for all dedicated and experienced instructors.

Course Information

The North Island Firearms Safety Course is who we work with to provide Salt Spring Island firearm enthusiasts with the best possible information and teaching.

You will be required to first complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and pass the written and practical exam.  After that you will be able to apply for the Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) through the RCMP.  This will all be offered during the 2 day course.
